Who We Are
GoochlandCares’ (GC) mission is to provide basic human services and health care to our Goochland neighbors in need. There are twelve programs that individuals may qualify for such as the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Medical Clinic, Case Management, Financial Assistance, and Critical Home Repair. The Transportation Program assists registered clients in getting to their appointments including medical, dental, and mental health. Transportation is also provided to basic needs services such as local pharmacies, local grocery stores, Goochland Department of Social Services, Pamunkey Regional Library-Goochland Branch Only, and all GoochlandCares services. This program is offered at no cost to registered clients.
Transportation is available Monday through Friday to both Goochland and Henrico/Richmond locations. Henrico/Richmond Transportation is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm. Goochland Transportation is available Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. Transportation may be limited or canceled due to certain situations such as inclement weather or maintenance.
