Transportation for PACE Program Participants

Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens offers the AllCare for Seniors.  Medicaid Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a program for individuals aged 55 and older, who are eligible for Medicare and Medicaid benefits, and who meet nursing facility requirements. The long-term care program provides support and services that allow PACE members to remain in familiar surroundings such as their homes and communities while receiving needed nursing services. PACE programs provide both health care and social services for a PACE participant.

Transportation will be provided to participants, at no cost, to their medical appointments as authorized.  Also, transportation can be provided from the participant's home to the PACE Center on the scheduled days.



ALLCARE services can include doctor visits, hospital stay, emergency services, prescriptions, physical therapy, adult day care, in-home support and personal care, meals, transportation, and social activities and recreation.



PACE is a voluntary health plan. Participants enrolled in a PACE program receive all their health care from the program’s network of providers. Participants are free to leave PACE at any time and go back to their former Medicare and/or Medicaid programs.
