Who We Are

RideShare is a program of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission and the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission.  RideShare works to reduce traffic congestion and increase mobility throughout Central Virginia and the Central Shenandoah Valley. The services to promote this are:

  • Carpool matching;
  • Vanpool coordination;
  • Guaranteed ride home to provide free rides home in an emergency;
  • Park and ride lots.
