Who We Are

At District 19 Community Services Board, Behavioral Health Skill-building Services are defined as goal-directed training that enables individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. The program includes goal-directed training in the following areas:

  • functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual’s health and safety;
  • activities of daily living;
  • use of community resources;
  • medication management;
  • monitoring health, nutrition, and physical condition.
