Sentara Nursing Center, Windemere, provides skilled nursing care, all inclusive pricing and an exclusive list of amenities. Specialized services offered include: one call patient placement; on site physical, speech and occupational therapists; on site lab and x-ray services; at home skilled care link with Sentara Home Health; in house physicians and gerontological nurse practitioners; and shorter term rehabilitation including physiatrist care, and physical, speech and occupational health therapy. Visiting hours are generally between mid-morning and early evening; however, family members, clergy and friends are always welcome and are encouraged to visit whenever and as often as possible.

Facility features include:

• Board-certified physicians and specialty trained nurse practitioners available 24 hours a day;
• 30 skilled nursing beds offering specialized, acute care and individual attention;
• Partnerships with community caregivers to provide respite care from three days up to two weeks, reducing "caregiver stress;"
• Hospice care, in conjunction with Sentara Hospice Services;
• Dining and meal preparation services offered on-site, as well as weekly buffets and a family dietitian to plan special meals to meet individual dietary needs;
• On-site dental and podiatry services.
