Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, a 276-bed acute care hospital, specializes in cardiology and cardiac surgery, cancer care, high-risk pregnancy, women's health, oncology, orthopedics and neurosciences, with a dedicated nursing wing for stroke treatment, total joint replacements and trauma surgery. It houses a specialized neonatal intensive care unit and the region's only Level III Trauma Center.



Services include the Sentara Heart Center, the region's only Level III Trauma Center. The hospital offers an intensive care unit, a diabetes center, accredited sleep disorders center and hospitalist program. This hospital acquired Deaf-Talk, a customer service technology to aid in prompt care for hearing-impaired and foreign language speaking patients in need of interpreters.
