Who We Are

Vinson Hall Retirement Community is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) offering Independent Living. Vinson Hall is supported by the Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation (NMCCRF) and dedicatd to former U.S. military officers and their families.  



Individuals enjoy life at their own pace and schedule, free to garden, take trips, pursue educational opportunities and enjoy music, art and entertainment.  Offers fitness programs, health services and pastoral support.  The Vinson Hall Independent living residence serves former and retired officers of the uniformed services, their spouses, children and siblings. Other affiliated individuals are welcome on a case-by-case basis.



Vinson Hall Retirement Community, home since 1969 to commissioned military officers ages 62 and older and their immediate family members, is entering into a brand new stage of growth and renovation.The community is now also open to select GS-14 and above federal employees.  Occasionally, special exceptions are made for individuals with a strong connection to militlary or federal government.

Other Eligibility Criteria
Open to commissioned military officers of all branches of service and their immediate family members. Our Independent Living residences are now open to GS-14 and above federal employees from the Departments of State, Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs. Former employees of the CIA and NASA with a GS-14 and above grade also qualify as well as Foreign Service class level 1, 2, or 3. Occasionally, special exceptions are made for individuals with a strong connection to our military or government.
