Who We Are
The U.S.. Department of Veterans Affairs (the VA) provides a VA pension for veterans. If a veteran is more seriously disabled, he or she may qualify for Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits. These are benefits paid in addition to the basic pension rate.
Some of the qualifying conditions are:
You require the aid of another person in order to perform personal functions such as bathing, feeding, etc.
You are bedridden
You are a patient in a nursing home due to mental or physical incapacity
