Employment Services Program

Lynchburg Community Action Group, Inc (Lyn-CAG) provides an Employment Services Program to assist the unemployed, underemployed or those persons who desire a career change. This program is NOT an employment agency, but we offer a range of necessary services at no-cost. These services are free to you;  however, they are invaluable in making your job search a smooth and more focused endeavor.



All NEW clients are required to attend a Job Readiness Workshop.   The two (2) hour training class is scheduled every Thursday at 11:00 a.m.  Clients MUST contact the office on Monday or Tuesday prior to the workshop day to register.  Registration can be made by calling 434-846-2778, ext. 44, or stopping by the office to sign-up.



Immediately following this workshop, the Program Manager will schedule an appointment with each participant to include a personal interview for counseling, developing an action plan and starting your resume.
