Who We Are

Mobility Options provides transportation to seniors and people with disabilities throughout Planning District 16. Mobility Options will match riders with existing routes and services provided by human services agencies in the region. In addition, trips are purchased by Mobility Options from private and public paratransit providers.  Transportation may be available for non-emergency medical appointments, essential grocery shopping trips, and formal social or recreational programs (excluding Healthy Generations Senior Cafes). 

Mobility Options provides between two to three trips a month for an individual on a first come first serve basis. Special considerations are made for trip requests to places of employment, training, or education. Alternative sources such as public transit or a Medicaid transportation benefit should be used before making a Trip Request.

Mobility Options has limited resources to provide direct door-to-door service. General door-to-door services hours are Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Interested users are encouraged to call to request door-to-door service well in advance of their appointment date but no more than 30 days in advance.

Trip requests are accepted by telephone during these business hours. Administrative office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-4:30PM. Transportation hours may vary.

Intake Process
Trip requests are accepted by telephone. Please make your requests as early as possible, but no more than 30 days in advance, and no less than seven days in advance. Requests made with less than seven days’ notice may not be able to be accommodated. Additionally, if you anticipate the need to visit a pharmacy following a non-emergency medical appointment, please discuss this with the Mobility Options office when booking your trip
