Who We Are
Tendercare of Virginia (Tendercare Transport) provides safe, caring, dependable, and on-time medical transportation to older adults and people with disabilities. Pick-up can be at a private home, assisted living facility, or nursing home. The driver will accompany individuals to appointments, check-in at reception, and pick up individuals after the appointment is finished.
- Ambulatory transport is provided to patients who are able to walk with or without assistance and who require minimal transitioning in and out of the passenger seat of a vehicle.
- Wheelchair transport is provided to people who use a wheelchair in specially equipped vehicles custom outfitted with a hydraulic lift for wheelchair transports.
- Stretcher transport for people who are bedridden.
All drivers are Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
