Who We Are
Bedford Ride is a nonprofit program that provides non-emergency medical transportation for people who are disabled or low income or who are older adults. 160 volunteers drive agency and personal vehicles for demand response program.
The Mission of Bedord Ride is to improve the quality of life for Bedford County citizens by providing better access to non-emergency medical services (non-Medicaid).
Volunteer are the drivers and dispatchers.

Medical transportation appointments should be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Intake Process
Call for an eligibility assessment. Once determined eligible, call at least two business days before needed ride to make a reservation. Longer notice is preferred. For reservations, call between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm.
