Neighborhood Health (formerly Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services) King Street Dental offers dental care to children and adults. Neighborhood Health is a Community Health Center which is a non-profit private corporation located in a medically underserved area to provide comprehensive primary health care to anyone seeking care.
Dental health and preventive care is an integral part of each well-child and well adult visit. Cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and extractions are provided through a contract with the Alexandria Health Department; referrals are made for more extensive dental care needs.
In addition to treating individual patients, a health center emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention for entire communities. A Community Health Center does not deny anyone primary health care services. All community residents have equal access regardless of ability to pay, geographic locations/residence, culture, age, sex or religion.
