Who We Are

Mobility Options is a state grant funded program through the Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging which provides Transportation Counseling, Travel Training, and Personalized Transportation services for the residents of Planning District 16. View Mobility Transportation Guide 

Mobility Options provides between two to three trips a month for an individual on a first come first serve basis. Special considerations are made for trip requests to places of employment, training, or education

Mobility Options can be used by persons of any age with a disability for:

  • medical appointments;
  • non-emergency medical;
  • picking up prescriptions;
  • social or personal event;
  • therapy appointments; or
  • essential shopping trips.

Mobility Options provides information and referral services in regards to public, private, and volunteer transportation services available in the community. Travel Training is also available in coordination with FREDericksburg Regional Transit. Additionally, Healthy Generations may be able to provide limited door-to-service, if available. Mobility Options provides services for eligible persons of any age with a physical, developmental, or intellectual disability, or persons that are sixty (60) years of age or older.

Ride request call hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am until 2 pm. Service hours are Monday through Friday 5 am until 5 pm.

Intake Process
Call to apply for services. Request rides as early as possible, but no more than 30 days in advance, and no less than seven days in advance. Requests made with less than seven days’ notice may not be able to be accommodated. If there is no availability for the day and time requested, riders may be offered alternative days or times, or alternative means of transportation. Ride Request Call Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
