Group Homes, Intellectual Disabilities, Portsmouth

Phoenix Aspiration System of Care offers 2 homes in Portsmouth for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Group homes provide congregate living arrangements to a small group of adults with recognized developmental disabilities.  Consumers receive primary care, which is comprised of room, board, and general supervision. In addition, they receive assistance training, and specialized supervision according to their individual support needs and preferences. Each resident is encouraged to be as independent as possible with daily living activities, hopefully to achieve an improved quality of life through integration in community activities.



Nahuum house and Nehemiah house offer homes for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities needing assistance, counseling, and training in activities of daily living or whose service plan identifies the need for the specific type of supervision or counseling available in this setting.
