Supportive Residential Services, Behavioral Health

Virginia Beach Community Service Board's Supportive Residential Services (SRS) provides a continuum of supportive and supervised residential options for adults who have active cases with the Virginia Beach Mental Health and Substance Abuse (MHSA) division to include transitional housing, adult foster care, assisted living facilities, co-occurring transitional housing and subsidized housing with in-home supports. The program also includes behavioral health skill building services that focus on the acquisition of skills in activities of daily living such as personal safety, nutrition and medication management. Services are person-centered and maximize individual self-determination, personal choice, and decision making. Services provided are determined by person-centered assessments, which become the basis for the specific goals, objectives and supports necessary for successful community living and personal fulfillment.
