Adult Inpatient Acute Psychiatry

Centra Mental Health Services provides comprehensive inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults age 18 and older who struggle with daily life because of an emotional crisis or troubling thoughts and behaviors. They may suffer from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, manic-depressive illness, psychological disorders, personality disorders or other dysfunctions.

After thorough evaluation, our team of psychiatrists, nurses, clinical social workers, clinical psychologists, occupational and recreational therapists and counselors, develops a treatment plan tailored to the patient. In addition to providing individual treatments, the team meets regularly to evaluate the patient's progress.



Discharge planning begins shortly after admission to assure the patient's smooth transition from hospital to home, family and community. It's all part of our commitment to assure patients of comprehensive, continuous care.
