Who We Are
Alexandria Community Services Board (CSB) provides substance abuse assistance to individuals and their families. Staff helps find access to services and supports that are essential to meeting their basic needs identified in the individualized service plan (ISP), which include not only accessing needed mental health and substance abuse services, but also any medical, nutritional, social, educational, vocational and employment, housing, economic assistance, transportation, leisure and recreational, legal, and advocacy services and supports that the individual needs to function in a community setting.
Services are available to residents of the City of Alexandria. To schedule an appointment, call 703-746-3400 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Ask to speak with an intake worker. The intake worker will assist you in scheduling an appointment.
If you need detox services, call 703-746-3636 anytime and ask to speak to a counselor about entering the detox program. If you are actively using drugs or alcohol and are seeking treatment, you may detoxify before beginning treatment.
