Who We Are
Centra Hospice cares for people with a terminal illness and their families. Hospice focuses on the physical, practical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient and loved ones. Centered on comfort, not cure. The hospice team features physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, and volunteers who enable patients and their families to concentrate on the quality of life.
The primary care physician's consent and participation is required for admission, and a primary caregiver should be available at the home. Hospice encourages home care for as long as possible, where a person can be surrounded by family and friends.
Patients are accepted regardless of age, gender, race, religion, handicap, national origin or ability to pay for care.
Centra Health serves patients in their homes, assisted living, nursing facilities, hospitals and Centra's Hospice House.
