Who We Are

Mountain Lynx Transit operates a weekly public transit program that is available to all Wythe County residents. Vans travel a fixed route with deviations possible.  You can determine which day is convenient for you by checking the  Schedule information found on the website.

Customers are picked up at or near their homes in the county. The bus then proceeds to a commercial center where customers are taken to a destination of their choice. Multiple destinations may be accommodated depending upon the needs of all the passengers within the time allotted. Destinations and stops on county routes are determined by the driver for the convenience of the county riders only.

Hours are for the dispatch center. Transportation hours vary.

Intake Process
Call the reservation line by 4:00 pm on the last business day before the trip. Provide the customer's name, telephone number, the exact address of your pick-up point, and destination. Request assistance is needed beyond standard curb-to-curb service. Customers will be given a pick-up time with a 30-minute window. Please be ready and waiting. The bus may arrive 15 minutes prior to or after the pick-up time. The bus driver cannot wait longer than five (5) minutes.
