The Southwest Regional office of Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) strives to provide efficient, cost effective services that promote a proper balance between environmental improvement and economic vitality. The DEQ administers state and federal environmental programs, issues environmental permits and ensures compliance with regulations, handles pollution related complaints from citizens, coordinates planning among the Commonwealth's environmental programs, helps build partnerships on environmental matters among business and industry, local governments and interested citizens and groups.
