Lockwood Elmwood House offers units of accessible/modified units for seniors age 62 and older or adults with disabilities Studio and one bedroom apartments are in the compex.. There is wall-to-wall carpeting, range, frost-free refrigerator, garbage disposal, individually controlled heating and a/c, window coverings, and emergency call system in each unit. A full-time Services Coordinator who works with the residents and maintains a full activity calendar designed specifically to the residents wishes is employed.
The building entrance is wheelchair accessible. There are elevators with Braille; curb cuts; handicapped parking spaces; ramps with handrails; grab bars (shower/tub); wide doorways (wheelchair accessible); low cabinets, sinks, and countertops; raised toilet. Public transportation is 1/2 mile from the building. The property is operated under HUD Section 8 guidelines
