The George Mason University (GMU) Center for Psychological Services is an outpatient mental health center where services are provided by graduate students under supervision. The Center offers individual, couple, family and group therapy.
Clinicians treat a wide variety of concerns including, but are not limited to:
- Depression,
- Anxiety,
- Behavioral issues,
- Attention problems,
- School problems,
- Relationship and family problems,
- Parenting difficulties,
- Trauma and stress-related difficulties,
- Eating and sleeping problems,
- Adjustment problems including medical issues,
- Bereavement.
The Center also provides intensive, brief therapy for specific phobias such as fear of animals and insects, needles, pill swallowing, heights, enclosed spaces, flying, etc.
