Who We Are
Telamon Corporation offers services to migrant and seasonal farm workers. Offers Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA), Section 167, programs whose purpose is to provide a full range of services, including assessment, counseling, education, skill training, job placement, and supportive services for migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Services are designed to enhance the employability of farm workers leading to their self sufficiency in achieving long term career goals and employment opportunities leading to the economic upgrading of farmworker families. Services will be directed toward either providing alternatives to agricultural labor or toward improving their agricultural lifestyle. This office serves the counties of Henry, Halifax, Mecklenburg and Pittsylvania and the cities of Danville and Martinsville.
Age 16+ and older and a migrant or seasonal farm worker defined by the Department of Labor.
Income eligible, application and verification income from agriculture in the past 24 months.
