The Virginia Beach government provides "VB311", a simple, easy to remember telephone number that connects with a Citizen Service Call-Taker who can assist them with city information, services, news and events.  VB311 provides citizens and visitors with a single point of contact for a wide variety of city information and services: from offering directions to specific addresses within the city limits, to supplying the media with information on traffic problems.



VB311 also helps to reduce the non-emergency call volume by taking calls not requiring Public Safety personnel.



Calling "311" will work from landline telephones within Virginia Beach city limits.  Cell phone users or callers from outside the city limits can dial (757) 385-3111 to reach VB311.  There is no charge for dialing 311; cellular charges apply according to the cellular plan.
