Who We Are

The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington offers eyeglasses to the financially needy. The Society does not provide eye examinations; therefore, individuals interested in obtaining eyeglasses through the program must have a current prescription for glasses (less than one year).

The eyeglasses program is administered at the Society's eyeglasses clinic located at 2216 Rhode Island Avenue, N.E., Washington DC. Individuals seeking services should call  the Clinic at 202-269-0203 to schedule an appointment.
