Medical Benefits Eligibility (Cardinal Care Medicaid)

Bedford County Department of Social Services administers Medical Assistance Program (Cardinal Care Medicaid).  Cardinal Care Medicaid provides medical care for public assistance recipients and medically needy persons, i.e, persons of low income who can meet their maintenance needs but have insufficient income to provide the cost of medical care.

Determines eligibility for the Cardinal Care Medicaid program which pays for medical expenses of AFDC recipients, the permanently disabled, the blind, pregnant women, children, and the elderly. Special telephone assistance for low-income families may be available. Some recipients have a co-pay.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30 am through 11:30 am is time for the qualification.
