Hospice Care, Falls Church Area

Hospice and palliative care (expert pain and symptom management) is delivered in various settings such as single-family homes, apartments, long-term care, nursing home, and assisted living.



Respite care and acute symptom management provided at Capital Caring freestanding inpatient facility - Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center in Arlington, VA. Care by an interdisciplinary team consisting of a physician, registered nurse, certified nursing assistant, chaplain, social worker, bereavement/grief professional, trained volunteer. Occupational, physical, art therapists, and dietitians are available as needed.

Veterans: Capital Caring Health provides a full suite of care and services, plus recognition ceremonies and programs to match veteran patients with our veteran volunteers.  The veterans' program provides a full range of services for any life-limiting condition, including grief support and caregiver education. Unique After Hours Care Center puts patients/families in touch with a registered nurse with access to their medical records, 24-hours a day.  Bereavement care is offered to a family for 13 months after death.
