Who We Are
The Norfolk City Health Department collects information and identifies problems and conditions for the benefit of public health. Staff provides advice on health-related matters, works to control the spread of disease, and inspects and investigates conditions that may adversely affect public health.
Most services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on income and include:
- Immunizations
- Communicable Disease Prevention and Control
- Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition
- Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Environmental Health
- Vital Records--birth and death certificates
- Family Planning
