Who We Are
Our Health is a local non-profit community resource which supports agencies in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Affiliated with Hands On Network and Valley Health. Call to become a volunteer.
They have a variety of partnerships including 45 nonprofit organizations which they connect through the Kendall Community Campus space, grant support, the Volunteer Action Center and their close affiliation with Valley Health Systems. Our Health strives to collaborate with their partners, define what their needs are, and find ways to help these organizations serve their clients.
Its Volunteer Action Center provides viable services to connect volunteers to area needs and nonprofit partners with opportunities to enhance their programs.
Many levels of support are offered to these agencies by sharing the skilled staff of Our Health. Our Health offers nonprofit agencies guidance to improve their organizational structure and efficiency with an eye toward sustaining and enhancing the nonprofit community.
The top priority is development of a Community Services Building in downtown Winchester where several health and human service organizations will relocate to create a health and human services complex. The organizations include The Child Parent Center, Concern Hotline, The Free Medical Clinic, Healthy Families, Literacy Volunteers, United Way and Our Health. Other priorities include fostering adolescent mental health services, expanding health care screening and developing shared grantwriting services for area non-profit organizations.
