Who We Are
The Goochland County Health Department has Environmental Health Specialists working with local, state, and federal agencies to protect the community’s health and the environment. These professionals work to reduce the risk of foodborne illness outbreaks by conducting restaurant inspections, protecting ground and surface water through a permitting process, preventing and controlling rabies in collaboration with local county animal control officers, and referring citizens to informational resources.
