Who We Are

The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Services operates Friendship House, which provides an all day psychosocial rehabilitation program for its members. Friendship House is appropriate for those community members whose daily lives and functioning are impaired by mental illness, but who do not require institutionalization. Transportation is available.



Each member participates in a variety of activities to provide opportunities, experience, and support that will allow the individual to develop the work and social skills required to remain successful in the community setting. Vocational assessment, training, and support are available.

Intake Process
Prior to, or at the time of your first appointment, you will have a financial interview. During this interview, you and a member of LCSB's staff will work together to establish a payment plan within your ability to pay.
