AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Ryan White Program

The Ryan White Program* provides case management services for individuals with HIV or AIDS who meet financial eligibility requirements as established by the Department of Health.  Case management includes coordination of services available through the Virginia AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). 

A major part of Part B funding is for the Virginia Medication Assistance Program (Va MAP) which provides medications for low-income, uninsured individuals with HIV/AIDS.  The remaining funds provide HIV care services, targeted to deliver medical care and support services to eligible individuals living with HIV/AIDS.  Ryan White funding is the payer of last resort.  

*The Ryan White Program is for those who do not have sufficient health care coverage or financial resources for coping with HIV disease. Ryan White fills gaps in care not covered by these other sources.
