Who We Are
Access Williamsburg is a program that will allow senior citizens and individuals with disabilities to call a single telephone number to schedule their transportation in the Greater Williamsburg area that includes the City of Williamsburg, James City County, and the Bruton District of York County.
Rides will be scheduled utilizing professionally trained drivers with wheelchair-accessible vans. Every attempt will be made to accommodate all transportation requests. However, there may be times that a customer’s request cannot be fulfilled. When such times occur, the customer will be contacted to discuss ride alternatives. Please call with as much advanced notice as possible if you must cancel your ride.
ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) para-transportation is another of the services offered to the community. Be sure to submit an application to be eligible for this service.
All customer information will be kept confidential. If you are in need of additional services, please let the scheduler know and they will have a representative from the Peninsula Agency on Aging contact you.
This program is a partnership of three current transportation providers: The Arc of Greater Williamsburg, Peninsula Agency on Aging, and Williamsburg Area Transit Authority.
