Accessible Transportation

JAUNT provides public transportation for the six-county area of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, and the city of Charlottesville. Anyone may ride JAUNT as all JAUNT vehicles are equipped with lifts and low steps.  JAUNT provides door-to-door service for individuals with disabilities, using lift-equipped buses.  Whether you're traveling to work, shop, see a doctor, or even catch a movie, JAUNT has a route that can help you get around.

CONNECT: Provides fixed-route commuter service to UVA and downtown Charlottesville from Crozet, 29 North, Buckingham, and Lovingston. Reservations are not required to ride, just show up at the advertised stop and time.  These services are excellent for commuting to and from work, extended shopping trips, or other long appointments.

Greene County Transit provides curb-to-curb service within Greene County as well as scheduled runs to and from Charlottesville.

JAUNT ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) services transport riders within the ADA area, defined as a 3/4 mile buffer around Charlottesville Area Transit fixed-route service. These services are intended to provide an accessible transport service to passengers unable to use traditional fixed-route services. To qualify for ADA service, passengers must contact Charlottesville Area Transit for certification.  ADA service requires a reservation at least one day in advance.

Until further notice, there is no fare to use any JAUNT transportation services.
