Honeytree is located in South Boston, situated on Virginia’s southern border, 60 miles from Lynchburg, Martinsville, and Durham, North Carolina. The community has 48 one- and two-bedroom units rented to families and individuals earning at or below 60% of the area median income
The extensive rehabilitation of Honeytree includes new siding, new kitchen cabinets, all new plumbing fixtures and 40-year shingles. Environmentally responsible upgrades include energy efficient windows and ENERGY STAR appliances in the majority of units.
The community’s new playground was installed by CHP employees and partners as part of CHP’s National NEIGHBORWORKS Week project.
