Who We Are

The Rivah Ride Bay Transit bus provides access to locations in Essex County and around the town of Tappahannock including the VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital Emergency Room, Medical Buildings, White Oak Shopping Center, Walmart, Winston Road, Tappahannock Towne Center, Rappahannock Office Building, Post office and multiple apartment locations.

This bus operates on a deviated fixed route Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm. It follows a set schedule, but with an advanced reservation, the bus can deviate up to ¾ of a mile off the route.  

The cost is free until further notice. When there is a cost, an exact fare is needed because drivers cannot make change. Transfers from other buses are free with a pass.
