Mount Rogers Community Services Board offers group homes for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Group homes provide congregate living arrangements to a small group of adults with recognized developmental disabilities. Consumers receive primary care, which is comprised of a room, board, and general supervision. In addition, they receive assistance training, and specialized supervision according to their individual support needs and preferences. Each resident is encouraged to be as independent as possible with daily living activities, hopefully, to achieve an improved quality of life through integration in community activities.
- The Carroll House is a home in Hillsville for twelve adults with developmental disabilities. It is located in a rural setting that provides access to social, recreational, religious, and employment opportunities. In addition to community activities, clients receive in-home supports and training in such areas as health care, personal development, and other activities of daily living. - The Wythe House is a twelve-bed residential program in Wytheville serving people with Intellectual disabilities and other secondary disabilities such as emotional/behavioral problems or physical disabilities. Wythe House is the agency's most intensive long-term community residential program with staff available to provide individual and small group training, counseling, and support services.
