Who We Are
A major function of SOAR365, formerly Greater Richmond Arc, is to assist men and women with disabilities to become more self-sufficient through employment. Many are referred to SOAR365 (SOAR) by the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS), Community Services Boards and similar agencies. We have trained and employed men and women for/in light industrial jobs on our site since the early 1970s. Some transportation services are provided for community activities and therapy sessions.
Today, through SOAR's Industrial Services, individuals are trained and supported to get and keep jobs in our light industrial services facility, in community businesses, and for the federal government: Organizational Employment, Community Employment, Employee Development, Commercial Contracts and Federal Contracts
Packaging, order fulfillment, inventory management, highway clean-up, document management, janitorial services, and landscaping, are a few Arc-generated employment opportunities that demonstrate the variety of talents and skill levels our personnel brings to the job site.
