Special Needs Trust

Parker, Pollard, Wilton & Peaden assist individuals and families to establish special needs trusts to protect the financial interest of a child or other family member with a disability.  The disability can be physical, mental or emotional.  Receiving an inheritance may compromise the ability of a child with special needs to receive government benefits.  Through a special needs trust, parents and other family members can designate money to a family member with special needs without affecting his or her ability to receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, or other public benefits.
