Volunteer Opportunities

Animal Welfare League of Arlington recruits and trains volunteers. Volunteers help with:

 

• Special events,
• Foster care provider, pet therapy (a must-have area to keep fosterlings separate from your own pets and complete foster addendum),
• Pet therapy (must have your own pet),
• Animal transport (must have valid driver's license and vehicle),
• Dog kennel assistant,
• Cat room assistant and
• Small animal room assistant.

You must be 18 years old to volunteer. The League does allow junior volunteers to assist their parents in various volunteer opportunities. Orientations are held quarterly, usually on a Saturday. Applicants are invited to orientation and training sessions based on the volunteer opportunities selected on the application.
