Supported Employment, Washington, DC Office

St. John's Community Services (SJCS) Employment Services support people with disabilities to explore career options and to acquire and retain competitive employment.  People supported include those with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health issues, visual impairments, autism, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, stroke survivors and substance abuse.



As individuals explore their job interests and express preferences, SJCS staff work with them to determine their goals and the support needed to do the job successfully.  SJCS Employment Specialists provide:

comprehensive vocational assessments,

• career planning
• job development and selection
• on-the-job training
• job coaching
• other life skills training
