Who We Are
The Emergency Services Center of My Sister's Place offers clinical case management and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness as a direct result of family violence. Staff will assist families in crises in moving from homelessness to transitional or permanent housing while addressing concurrent barriers such as poverty, unemployment, under-employment, lack of education, mental illness, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Women and children who have lived in violent homes often need supportive counseling to help them recover from the trauma of the abuse they have endured. My Sister's Place provides access to this counseling for women and children in all stages recovering from abuse, including those who remain in potentially violent homes, those who have escaped to a shelter, and those who have separated permanently but want access to ongoing support.
