Who We Are
Hospice Support Services of Fauquier County, Inc. is a volunteer non-medical hospice serving the terminally ill and bereaved residents of Fauquier County.
Support services include:
- Friendly companionship and emotional support to the patient.
- Assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, meal preparation and other household chores.
- A loan closet of equipment such as wheel chairs, hospital beds, walkers and bedside commodes.
- Individual and group bereavement counseling by volunteer professionals.
- Transportation to appointments or social outings.
- Respite and emotional support to the patient’s family.
If a patient requires skilled medical care, an appropriate referral is made. Hospice Support works collaboratively, as requested, with attending physicians, medical hospices, clergy and other support agencies in order to provide a continuum of patient care.
