Who We Are

The South Boston office of the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) offers employment services to help people with disabilities get ready for, find and keep a job.  Residential training and medical rehabilitation centers are located across Virginia.



DARS partners with a network of community rehabilitation providers to provide employment and vocational services and works with federally funded One Stop Centers to provide workforce services to persons with disabilities.

Employment services offered:

  • Vocational rehabilitation;
  • Supported employment;
  • Long term support funding;
  • Deaf and hard of hearing;
  • Substance abuse;
  • Serious mental illness
