Who We Are
Twin County Hospice provides a very special application of healthcare services at home for terminally ill patients with less than 6 months to live and their families. Every situation is different, but the quality of our care is constant.
Only home-based hospice care is provided at this time (no inpatient facility). A team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, clergy, volunteers, and rehabilitation therapists work together with the patient's family, physician and other concerned individuals in meeting the special needs of patients and families during the final stages of illness. Hospitalization will be available, when necessary, for symptom management, complications of illness or brief respite care. A hospice team member is available by telephone 24/7.
Includes 13 month follow-up bereavement services. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through education, care and sensitivity to needs, patients and families can be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them. All services are free and confidential.
