Who We Are
Inova Behavioral Health/Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) maintains a stand-alone inpatient facility on the Inova Fairfax Hospital campus that specifically serves the needs of chemically dependent individuals. This inpatient treatment program is for individuals who are experiencing acute withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and who require medical attention to safely facilitate detoxification. The length of stay in a medically managed detoxification program varies according to the medical needs of each person.
The inpatient detoxification program includes:
- 24-hour medical care
- Psychiatric care
- Medication management
- Individual counseling
- Family counseling
- Aftercare planning
Suboxone Treatment: Inova CATS utilizes suboxone for the treatment of patients who are physically dependent on opiates such as heroin and prescription narcotics. Suboxone is medication that eases the withdrawal process.
Patients typically begin their treatment in the Inpatient or Day Treatment programs and move on to participate in the Intensive Outpatient or Relapse Prevention programs. During this time, they receive monitored medication management by the CATS medical director or staff physician.
