Who We Are

The Bristol City Health Department offers numerous services and programs in Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health as well as Baby Care. 

Family planning includes physical exams and contraceptive supplies for men and women, pregnancy testing, education and counseling, and testing of and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and other vaginal infections.  They also offer "Plan First" which is a Medicaid program that pays for birth control and family planning services for women and men.  This includes birth control, sexually transmitted infection checks, pap smears, and sterilizations.  All records are confidential.

Maternal and Child Health programs and services cover a broad range of topics that include Breastfeeding, Baby Care, Care Connection for Children, Car Safety Seat Program, Children's immunizations, Dental Preventive Services, Resource Mothers, Safe to Sleep, and more.  Not all services are available at every health department.  Please visit the website for more information.
