Who We Are

The Brambles operates ten private group homes for adults with autism, each within Mathews County on Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. Each residence is custom-built within a neighborhood-like environment and features various amenities designed to support intellectually and physically disabled residents who have shared interests and behaviors.

Staff help residents transition to maximize their quality of life, while still encouraging enhanced independence. With around-the-clock care, residents can look forward to gaining support and assistance with the following:

  • Meal preparation,
  • Housekeeping duties,
  • Personal needs,
  • Interactions with housemates.

Additionally, the staff provides scheduled routines and optimal strategies to avoid behavioral challenges.
