Who We Are
Gloucester Adult Day Break provides day care for adults 18 years and older, who, due to frailty or physical disability, require assistance during the day. Capacity is 24.
Offers one-on-one recreational activities by paid staff and volunteers based on the capability of the individual. Limited transportation is provided in the surrounding area. Day service recipients often battle Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia, Parkinson's disease or cerebral palsy. Some recipients attend short term or intermittent as part of their personal wellness regimen and others attend for years or on a regular basis.
Physical and mental exercises, social activities (arts and crafts, singing, dancing, games), socialization and health monitoring are provided during the day. A registered nurse is available to answer any questions about health and medical needs.
Respite care is available to give caregivers a break.
